Are you ready? You want to learn how to play the guitar? Learning to play the guitar is a journey that’s going to awaken your ears, and heart to creativity, musical expression, and even personal growth. The first thing I learned about the guitar was that it was the piano scale backward. Whether you dream of performing in front of a crowd or simply strumming your favorite songs at home, the guitar is an instrument that anyone can learn. To begin, it's essential to understand the basic parts of the guitars such as the body, neck, strings, frets, and tuning pegs. The first thing you need to know is how the guitar works. This will help you understand and connect to your musical instrument more effectively, and confidently. You want to focus on how to properly hold your guitar you want to sit up back straight, you also want to rest the guitar on your thigh, position both of your arms so that your left hand can press down the strings. Then you want to have your right hand able to strum comfortably. Now, you want to learn what each string names are (E, A, D, G, B, E ) and tuning your guitar correctly. Start by picking each string one at a time and listening to its sound. Once you feel comfortable holding the guitar and picking individual strings, you’re ready to move on to learning chords and playing simple songs.
